Q: What was the first thing you noticed about Finn?

A: His eyebrows. I know that sounds ridiculous, but the man can have a completely blank face and those eyebrows are screaming. Every thought, every emotion—right there. Also his scotch order. One ice cube. Not two, not three. One. Who does that? I found myself thinking about it way more than I should have while I was serving drinks to men who wouldn’t even look at me.

Q: What’s your nickname for Finn?

A: I called him Mr. Clean once and he scowled at me, which only made me want to keep doing it. I’ve considered “cuddle bear” but I’m saving that for when I really want to see his face. Everyone calls him Finn. I want a name that’s just mine.

Q: Do you trust him?

A: He walked into that brothel for a business meeting and walked out with me. He gave me the clothes off his back—literally. He fought armed men to get me out the door. So yeah, I trust him with my life. With everything else? We’re working on it. Trust doesn’t come easy when your own stepfather is the one who had you kidnapped.

Q: What’s the first thing you wanted after being rescued?

A: A western omelet, a croissant, and a cup of tea. And real clothes. Trevor—Finn’s assistant—picked out an entire outfit for me and got my sizes right, which was honestly impressive and only a little suspicious.
